Born in Luanda, Angola, in 1992, Álvaro Tavares D’Guilherme moved to Portugal at age eight and later relocated to Berlin in 2018. He is a painter whose work is characterized by chaotic, urban-inspired imagery that often incorporates elements of drawing and collage, drawing comparisons to the combine paintings of Robert Rauschenberg.
