Herman “Kofi” Bailey (1931–1981) was an American artist known for his emotive, highly structured figure drawings of black subjects in America and Africa. He studied at Alabama State College, Howard University, and the University of Southern California. He lived in Ghana in the 1960s, where he served as an artist-in-residence, and was deeply committed to civil rights and Pan-Africanism.
