Born Stanley George Miller, he is a prominent artist known for his 1960s psychedelic rock concert posters and album covers for bands such as the Grateful Dead and Journey. He grew up in Detroit, where he became involved in hot rod culture, and later moved to San Francisco to become a key figure in the psychedelic art movement.
