Sculpture
Alfred Auguste Janniot was a prominent French Art Deco sculptor. Educated at the École des Beaux-Arts as a pupil of Jean Antoine Injalbert, he won the Prix de Rome in 1919. He was highly influential in monumental and architectural sculpture, notably creating bas-reliefs for the Palais de la Porte Dorée and a gilded panel for the Maison Française at Rockefeller Center.
