Rei Naito is a Japanese artist born in Hiroshima who lives and works in Tokyo. A graduate of Musashino Art University, she gained international recognition for her 1991 installation 'One Place on the Earth' and her subsequent representation of Japan at the 1997 Venice Biennale. Her work often explores themes of existence, life, and death through delicate, minimalist installations that utilize light, space, and subtle materials.
