Giorgio Andreotta Calò is an Italian artist born in Venice who lives and works between Italy and the Netherlands. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and the Kunsthochschule Berlin. His practice often involves site-specific installations and sculptures that explore architecture, landscape, and the transformation of materials, frequently incorporating elements like water, light, and fire. He was an artist in residence at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam and represented Italy at the 57th Venice Biennale in 2017.
