Maria Polo was an Italian artist who studied at the Venice Art Institute before moving to Brazil in 1959. She settled in São Paulo, where she held her first solo exhibition at the invitation of Pietro Maria Bardi. Throughout her career, she worked across various media, including stained glass and tiles.
