Kai Nielsen was a Danish sculptor born in Svendborg who studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He was known for his rounded female forms and was influenced by artists such as Auguste Rodin and Constantin Meunier. His work is held in several major collections, including the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek.
