Rebecca Orcutt is an American contemporary visual artist known for her ambiguously narrative paintings that construct quiet, theatrical spaces. She earned a BFA from Gordon College and an MFA from the New York Academy of Art. Her work explores the subtle emotions and tensions of everyday life, often depicting figures in moments of waiting or uncertainty. Orcutt has exhibited internationally and received honors such as the Leipzig International Art Programme Residency and the Bennett Prize.
