Felipe Meres is a Brazilian-born, New York-based artist and educator. He holds an MFA from the Milton Avery School of the Arts at Bard College and a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from The New School. His work explores the intersection of systems of representation and material realities, often investigating the limits of classification tools and the cultural ramifications of emerging technologies. He serves as the Co-Chair of the Photography Department at Bard College and teaches at Cooper Union.
