DESCRIPTION

Alain Jacquet was a French artist associated with the Nouvelle Figuration and Pop Art movements. Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, he studied architecture at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris before becoming a self-taught painter. He is well known for his 'Camouflage' series, which layered art historical masterpieces with contemporary icons. He lived and worked in both Paris and New York, and taught at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs.
