Jef Verheyen was a Belgian painter and a key figure in the ZERO movement. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and was known for his lifelong exploration of light and color. He was a co-founder of G-58 Hessenhuis and maintained close associations with artists such as Lucio Fontana and Piero Manzoni.
