Jason Berger was a Boston-based landscape painter associated with Boston Expressionism. Born in Malden, Massachusetts, he studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts under Karl Zerbe. He was known for his plein air landscapes and abstracted studio paintings, as well as his interest in woodcuts. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was also a jazz musician.
