DESCRIPTION

Rammellzee (1960–2010) was a prolific American visual artist, graffiti writer, performance artist, and hip-hop musician from New York City. Known for his self-titled 'Gothic Futurism' style, he explored the power of the alphabet, viewing letters as weapons against standardized linguistic systems. He gained prominence in the late 1970s for his subway graffiti and later became a significant figure in the avant-garde art scene, exhibiting alongside artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.
