Aiko Nakagawa, known professionally as AIKO or Lady Aiko, is a Japanese contemporary street artist based in New York. Born in Tokyo, she began her career assisting Takashi Murakami before co-founding the influential street art collective FAILE in the late 1990s. She established her solo practice in 2006. Her work blends Western graffiti techniques with Japanese aesthetics, such as Ukiyo-e, using stencils and spray paint to explore themes of femininity, sexuality, and pop culture.
