Maqbool Fida Husain was a seminal Indian artist and a founding member of the Bombay Progressive Artists' Group. Known as the 'Picasso of India,' he was celebrated for his vibrant, modified Cubist style and diverse subjects, including urban landscapes, horses, and cultural figures. His career also spanned filmmaking and photography, and he spent his later years in exile between Qatar and the United Kingdom.
