Catherine Murphy

DESCRIPTION

Catherine Murphy is a realist painter born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She earned her B.F.A. from the Pratt Institute and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Known for her highly detailed depictions of city scenes, interiors, and still lifes, she has held academic positions at Yale University and Rutgers University. She is a recipient of multiple honors, including a Guggenheim Fellowship.
