Massimo Vignelli was an influential Italian designer known for his work in graphic, corporate, furniture, and product design. After studying in Milan and Venice, he moved to the United States where he cofounded Vignelli Associates. He is widely recognized for his iconic work on the New York City subway signage and map system.
