Azza Abo Rebieh is a Syrian artist and activist known for her work in printmaking and painting. She was active during the Syrian revolution and was detained by the Assad regime in 2015/2016. Her experiences in detention inspired a series of prints depicting the lives of female and child detainees in Damascus’ Adraa prison. Her work often addresses social issues, including the plight of disappeared civilians in Syria.
