Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo was a Spanish polymath and artist who lived and worked primarily in Venice, Italy. He was the son of the painter Mariano Fortuny y Marsal. He is best known for his innovative textile designs, the creation of the Delphos gown, and his work as a fashion designer, often collaborating with his wife, Henriette Negrin.
