Gao Xiaowu is a Beijing-based artist born in Sanming, Fujian Province. He graduated from the Xiamen Art Academy in 1999 and the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2004. Known for his 'popular art,' he creates humorous, rounded sculptures that offer social commentary on urban life, social pressure, and ecology.
