Gouache
Ian Fairweather was a Scottish-born painter who spent much of his life in Australia. After serving in World War I and being held as a prisoner of war, he studied at the Slade School of Fine Art. He is known for his unique, layered calligraphic style that blended Western and Asian influences, often working in gouache on humble materials like cardboard.
