Vincenzo Agnetti began his career in the late 1950s as a painter following the Informal movement before transitioning to conceptual art. He was a theorist and essayist who supported the Azimuth group. His work often explored the concept of absence and the analysis of language, famously using modified office equipment like the Olivetti calculator in his 'Drugged Machine'.
