Fernando Zóbel de Ayala y Montojo (1924–1984) was a prominent Spanish-Filipino painter, art patron, and museum founder. Born in Manila, he studied at Harvard University and became a significant figure in modernism, known for his abstract expressionist style and his role in developing the contemporary art scene in both the Philippines and Spain. He founded the Museo de Arte Abstracto Español in Cuenca, Spain, and was recognized for his rigorous, methodical approach to art.
