Daiara Hori Figueroa Sampaio (Daiara Tukano) was born in São Paulo and belongs to the Erëmiri Hãusiro Parameri clan of the Yepá Mahsã (Tukano) people. She is an artist, educator, and indigenous rights activist whose work explores Tukano spirituality, memory, and traditional culture. She holds degrees from the Universidade de Brasília, was coordinator of Rádio Yandê, participated in the 34th São Paulo Biennial, and received the Prince Claus Prize in 2022.
