Alberto Pitta is a Brazilian artist whose work centers on textile printing, serigraphy, painting, and sculpture. Spanning over four decades and deeply connected to popular festivities and Afro-diasporic traditions in Bahia, he has created prints for Afro carnival groups including Olodum, Filhos de Gandhy, and Cortejo Afro, and his work was featured in the 24th Biennale of Sydney.
