Emiliano Di Cavalcanti (1897–1976) was a prominent Brazilian modernist painter, draughtsman, and writer born in Rio de Janeiro. A central pioneer of modern art in Brazil, he helped organize the seminal Semana de Arte Moderna (Modern Art Week) in São Paulo in 1922 and became renowned for his vibrant figurative depictions of Brazilian culture and community life.
