Imre Benkő is a renowned Hungarian documentary photographer born in Kispest, known for his humanist black-and-white long-term photo essays including series on the Sziget Festival, City Park in Budapest, and the industrial decline in Ózd. He won gold medals at World Press Photo in 1975 and 1978 and received the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund grant in 1992.
