DESCRIPTION

Alexandra Mitlyanskaya was born in Moscow and graduated from the Moscow Institute of Graphic Arts / Moscow Institute of Polygraphy in 1981. In 1995, she received a grant to study at the Berlin Academy of Arts, and she has served as a visiting artist at Tufts University, Harvard University, and Parsons School of Design. Recognized as a prize-winner at the 'Now&After' video festival in 2011 and nominated for the Kandinsky Prize in 2017, her works are held in institutions such as the State Hermitage Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, and the State Russian Museum.
