Dmitry Krasnopevtsev (1924–1995) was a prominent Soviet non-conformist painter known for his still lifes. Branded a traitor in 1956 for his work, he gained international recognition long before being officially honored in Russia, where his work was eventually exhibited at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Art in 1993.
