DESCRIPTION

Born in 1932 near Zurich, Jürgen Brodwolf studied drawing and lithography, later working as a graphic artist, restorer, and glass painter. In 1959, he discovered his signature 'Tubenfigur' (tube figure) formed from squeezed paint tubes, which became central to his sculptures and object pictures. He later served as professor of sculpture at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart.
