Born in Bad Oldesloe, Germany, Isa Genzken studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and emerged as a major contemporary artist in the 1970s. Drawing on Constructivism, Minimalism, and punk aesthetics, she creates sculptures and assemblages exploring architecture, consumerism, and urban space.
