Born in 1953 in Weyer, Austria, Siegfried Anzinger is a painter, graphic artist, and sculptor, recognized as one of the founders of the 'Neue Wilde' movement. He studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts under Maximilian Melcher, participated in documenta 7 in 1982, represented Austria at the 1988 Venice Biennale, and served as a professor of painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy.
