Multisensory installation and sculpture
Montien Boonma (1953–2000) was a pivotal Thai artist who bridged Thai and international contemporary art. Influenced by Arte Povera and European conceptual art, he incorporated local and natural materials such as herbal pastes and sounds into multisensory, meditative installations engaging with Buddhist metaphysics, breathing, and societal transformation.
