Daniel Spoerri was a Swiss artist, writer, and sculptor of Romanian descent associated with Nouveau Réalisme and Fluxus. He is particularly renowned for inventing 'snare-pictures' (tableaux-pièges), in which he fixed the remains of meals and objects to surfaces.
