Lyubov Popova (1889–1924) was a prominent Russian avant-garde artist, painter, and designer associated with Cubo-Futurism and Constructivism. She studied under Jean Metzinger and Henri Le Fauconnier in Paris, later joining Kazimir Malevich's Supremus group and producing nonobjective works including her renowned 'Painterly Architectonics' series before turning to practical and theatrical design.
