John Borden Evans

John Borden Evans was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, to American parents and currently lives and works in North Garden, Virginia. A graduate of Davidson College, Evans is known for his richly textured acrylic paintings of the pastoral landscape surrounding his home. His subjects often include cattle, farm structures, and starry night skies, rendered through a process of building and scraping layers of paint.
