Sculpture and Installation
Barbara Broughel is a contemporary artist whose sculptures and mixed-media installations investigate themes of colonialism, global trade, and historical memory. Often creating works that resemble utilitarian objects or historical artifacts, she is well known for her 'Atlas of the New World' series and 'Requiem Portraits.' She has taught at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
