DESCRIPTION
Kathy Soles is a professor of painting and drawing at Emmanuel College and maintains a studio in Milton, Massachusetts. She holds a B.A. from Emmanuel College and an MFA from American University. Her paintings and works on paper are rooted in the landscape tradition, specifically exploring ocean currents and the intersection of land, sea, and sky through dense accumulations of paint and mark-making. She has been awarded residencies at the Millay Colony and Cill Rialaig in Ireland.
