William Flynn is a Boston-based artist and educator recognized for his extensive body of drawings spanning over five decades. A graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) at Tufts University in the 1960s, he went on to teach drawing at the institution for 40 years. His work often utilizes mundane objects—such as baseball mitts, ski boots, and old chairs—as metaphors for personal response and social commentary. In 2023, his career was celebrated with the retrospective exhibition "50 Years 50 Drawings" at HallSpace in Dorchester.
