Elizabeth DaCosta Ahern was a Luso-American colorist and arts educator known for ethereal, layered paintings that translate memories of nature and light into abstract landscapes. She was a graduate of Boston University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, and she previously studied under Helen Frankenthaler.
