Katherine Isabel "Kate" True was a Boston-based figurative painter and activist. She earned a BA from Wesleyan University and an MFA in filmmaking from NYU. Known for her expressive portraits and landscapes, she co-curated the "Nasty Women Boston" exhibition in 2017 to support reproductive and civil rights. Her work explored emotional depth through human gesture and implied narrative.
