April Bey is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator based in Los Angeles. Raised in the Bahamas, her work employs Afrofuturism and speculative fiction to critique post-colonialism, social media, and constructs of race. She frequently uses materials such as faux fur, glitter, and woven textiles to construct the immersive world of her ongoing "Atlantica" series.
