DESCRIPTION
Sophia Allison is a visual artist and educator based in Los Angeles. She holds an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a 2017 recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant. Her multidisciplinary practice includes sculpture and drawing, often utilizing handmade paper pulp created from recycled materials, minerals, and pigments. Her work has been exhibited at institutions such as the San Diego International Airport and Craft Contemporary in Los Angeles.
