Born in Salto de Pirapora, Brazil, Amanda Maciel Antunes is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles. Her work encompasses painting, durational performance, film, and sound, often focusing on themes of cultural inheritance and the selective nature of memory. She is also a librarian at the Philosophical Research Society, where she founded the Surrealist Study Group. Her work has been shown at venues such as Track 16 Gallery and the Wignall Museum of Contemporary Art.
