Wendy Red Star is an Apsáalooke (Crow) artist whose multi-disciplinary work explores the intersections of Native American history and colonial structures. She is known for using archival research, textiles, and humor to subvert romanticized stereotypes of Indigenous people and to highlight the matrilineal culture and gender roles of the Crow Nation.
