Born in 1973 in Atlanta, Georgia, Michael Kalish is a contemporary artist based in California. He gained international recognition for elevating everyday objects, such as vintage license plates and automotive parts, into iconic sculptures and portraits of American cultural legends. His large-scale public installations, including the Muhammad Ali tribute 'reALIze,' use dimensionality and unique vantage points to challenge viewer perception. His work is included in collections such as the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
