Suzie Buchholz is a San Francisco Bay Area-based artist known for her energetic and playful approach to Abstract Expressionism. She holds a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a certificate from the Atelier du Soleil in Aix-en-Provence, France. Her process is highly physical, involving the building and scraping of layers of oil paint and oil sticks to capture the messy yet beautiful complexity of daily life. Her works are held in collections such as the Presidio of San Francisco.
