Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1973, Vicky Barranguet is a contemporary artist based in New York. She studied at the Art Students League of New York under masters such as Larry Poons and William Scharf. Her work is characterized by spontaneous gestures and an empirical investigation of pictorial structure, often translating music and emotion into vibrant colors and complex forms. She has collaborated on numerous multidisciplinary projects, including the 'Painting Music' show.
