DESCRIPTION
Born in Ukiah, California, Vanesa Gingold is an artist based in Oakland. She received her MFA from UC Santa Barbara (2016) and her BA from UC Davis. Her practice is focused on hanging sculptures created using abaca fibers, wood, and reed, exploring themes of permeability, care work, and symbiosis between organic and human forms.
